Cinco de Mayo – Kings v Ducks – Bloody Beers
Happy May 5th!!
Join us this evening as we spend the night cheering on the LA Kings as they take on the Anaheim Ducks! The Kings are up 1-0 in the series after an overtime win this past Saturday, and they return to Anaheim tonight for Game 2 of the NHL Western Conference Semifinals!
Yes, it’s Cinco de Mayo — a day to celebrate the Mexican Army’s victory over the French in 1862 — but since we don’t have any Mexican beers nor any tequila (never do) we won’t be having much in the way of a Mexican Fiesta. But if you’re craving a beverage to commemorate the day while joining us for the game, we’re happy to announce the return of our own version of a Michelada; the Bloody Beer! Made with Ballast Point’s award winning Bloody Mary mix and their Pale Ale, a bloody beer is a great way to spice up the night!
With the return of the Bloody Beer also comes the ability for you to purchase 32oz bottles of this delicious mix! The mix itself is non-alcoholic, so you’re able to get a bottle (limit 2) for your own use at home! When we last checked we couldn’t find anyone else nearby selling this excellent craft mix, and last time we carried it we sold out of in just a couple of days, so don’t wait to grab your bottles!
As you join us for the game, remember that while we don’t serve any food, you’re always welcome to bring in your own, order something in, or grab a sandwich from Village Greens Market next door to us (open until 8:00). The puck drops at 7:00, but be sure to arrive early enough to grab your favorite seat. And remember that all during the Kings’ playoff run for the Stanley Cup, you’ll get 10% off all craft beers ordered during the game; draft, bottles, and cans!
Go Kings Go!!
