New Taps for ACBW

For our continuing celebration of American Craft Beer Week we’re tapping two more beers new to us: Torment from Heretic Brewing and Brainless on Peaches from Epic Brewing. From their websites:

This 10% Belgian-style dark ale is the dark counterpart to Worry. Torment is a rich beer with lots of caramel, malt, dark fruit, and Belgian candi sugar notes. The luscious fruity character is full of caramel apples, candied pears, and chocolate covered oranges.

Brainless on Peaches Release #40

We took our double gold medal winning Brainless® Belgian, added peach puree and aged it in French Chardonnay casks. It develops nicely as it warms displaying more fruit and wine.

The Malts/Sugars/Fruits
Weyermann German Pilsner Malt, Muttons Maris Otter Pale malt, Briess Caraplis malt, Flaked Oats, Candy Sugar

100% pure Peach purée (no preservatives) secondary fermentation and aged in Chardonnay casks with Champagne yeast.

The Hops
Premient, Tettnang, and Saaz.
