Mystery Beer for Tuesday, July 8th
The style of this week’s Mystery Beer is a Double Red Ale; falling into the 2008 BJCP category of Specialty Beer (2008 BJCP 23); a catch-all for beers that don’t fit any other category. This category has no definition for a beer’s alcohol content, but our Mystery Beer this week comes in 9.0% abv with an unknown IBU and a Tuesday only price of $5.00/pint (inc tax).
You may notice that Dawn Of The Red from Ninkasi is no longer on our draft list, but that’s because the keg ran empty last night just in time to make room for the Mystery Beer’s debut appearance on our taps! (We would never resort to simply removing a tap handle and calling that beer a Mystery Beer. Well… we can say that we haven’t done that.)
Come in Tuesday for a pint! The identity of this beer will be kept secret throughout the day (please don’t post your guess), but on Wednesday we’ll post what it is to our website, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram!
Sorry, no tasters and no samples — you have to commit to the mystery — but you can get an 8oz pour if you prefer.
What’s a Mystery Beer?
Each Tuesday we’ll tap a beer, let you know the style, the approximate Alcohol By Volume (ABV) and International Bittering Units (IBU), and we’ll sell it at a special reduced price. What’s the catch? We won’t tell you the name of the beer or who brews it! You’ll have to wait until the next day to see the update on to our website, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram!
Enjoy the mystery!!
Pricing reflected above is a Tuesday only price. Cannot be combined with additional/other discounts. All pricing posted includes sales tax.
