Our Mystery Beer for Tuesday, August 12th has a rating of 92 on BeerAdvocate.com, and a whopping 98 at RateBeer.com. This beer, along with most others in this brewery’s lineup, only recently became available in Southern California at the beginning of July. While we introduced you to their beers with their True Blonde Ale as our Mystery Beer on July 15, we felt that the proximity to #IPAday made it appropriate to bring in their Modus Hoperandi India Pale Ale, from Ska Brewing in Durango, CO.
From their website:
MODUS HOPERANDI IPA
It’s old-man bitter.
A mix of citrus and pine that will remind you of the time you went on a vision quest with your native American cousin and woke up in a pine-grove full of grapefruit trees.
An American-style India Pale Ale with a deep golden-orange color. Bitter and hoppy, with a surprisingly smooth finish.
Visit the Ska Brewing website for more information about this and all their other brews. And be sure to stop in to visit us for a glass of Modus Hoperandi IPA before it’s gone!
What’s a Mystery Beer?
Each Tuesday we’ll tap a beer, let you know the style, the approximate Alcohol By Volume (ABV) and International Bittering Units (IBU), and we’ll sell it at a special reduced price. What’s the catch? We won’t tell you the name of the beer or who brews it! You’ll have to wait until the next day to see the update on to our website, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram!
Come by on Tuesdays and enjoy the mystery!!
