Ventura County Beer Week is here! In case you can’t make it up to Ventura for one of the events being held there — including the 6th Annual Ventura California Beer Festival Craft Beer Heaven on Saturday — we’re making sure that you get a chance to enjoy some the excellent beers being produced by Ventura County and other nearby brewery friends!

We started the week with some new brews on tap — Reverie from Institution Ale Co. in Camarillo and Paradise Pale Ale from Island Brewing — as well as a old favorites: Valkyrie from Enegren in Moorpark and Parabola & Pivo Pils from Firestone Walker. Sadly, the keg of Parabola emptied out just before publishing this. And we’re continuing to tap in more all week!

Restraint from Institution was added to the tap lineup today. An American Brown Ale and aged on hard maple is one of their flagship beers and when we have it here on tap the keg gets a lot of attention.

Also added today is Hop Project ‘Random & Sporadic’ from Ladyface Ale Co., just over the county line in Agoura Hills. Hop Project is a series of experimental brews from Ladyface Ale Co. and ‘Random & Sporadic’ is just the second in the series. This beer features Apollo, Bravo, Nelson Sauvin, and Zythos hop varietals allowing your palate to experience the diversity of flavors that hops can bring to a beer!

To help you enjoy as much as you can, we’re letting you build your own local flight! Pick any 4 local beers on the tap list (they’ll be marked as “Local”) and get a 6 ounce pour of each for $12! Available today to chose for your flight:

We’ll be tapping more this week too, including a new IPA for Tuesday’s Mystery Beer! Keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter for all the updates! And don’t forget to visit the Ventura County Beer Week website for details on other events this week!
