We’re turning Saturday’s into something special each week by bringing out a beer from Darryl’s Cellar collection and serving it up at the pub all day Saturday… and maybe Sunday as well! The caveat is that is goes back in to the cellar no later than Monday Night… (if it lasts that long)!
Special Brews for Ventura County Beer Week
We’re putting two special brews on tap this weekend, and maybe we’ll do a third before the weekend is over! Since it’s Ventura County Beer Week we’ve been focusing on local brews in the county, but also on great beers from breweries further north of us that our fellow craftbeer
snobs geeks connoisseurs south of us may at times overlook or forget about.
We’ve brought Café Noir from TapIt brewing in San Luis Obispo, CA back out of the cellar. This beer was brewed as an Imperial Porter (9.3% abv) then aged for 8 months in pinot noir barrels from the California Central Coast before being cold infused with a blend of locally roasted coffee added just before kegging for the freshest of coffee flavors.
We’re also putting on tap Rhinoceros from Telegraph Brewing in Santa Barbara. This beer comes in at a more than respectable 10.0% abv and is considered by Telegraph to be their “rye wine”, brewed with a hefty dose of rye malt and balanced by a “ridiculous amount of hops”!
Come in for either or both these brews this weekend and raise a glass to the great brewers we have right in our own backyard!
