It’s International Stout Day again! And since it’s also New Brew Thursday we decided to introduce a couple of new stouts on tap in addition to some new and returning bottles for you! Also, tonight at 7:30 the LA Kings host the New York Islanders, which means you get 10% off* during the game!

New On Tap For Stout Day

International Stout Day is a worldwide celebration of the iconic beer style, Stout. Taking place in homes, pubs, breweries and restaurants; it’s all about celebrating the craft beer revolution, relishing in this beloved beer style, sharing your photos, tasting notes and events with the world.

Here at the Couch we’re putting two new stouts on tap for you to try:

Belching Beaver
Peanut Butter Milk Stout
New Belgium
Salted Belgian Chocolate Stout
ABV: 5.3%, IBU: 30
Our Peanut Butter Milk Stout is simply irresistible. It’s like dark chocolate Reese’s in a glass! Rolled oats and Lactose add to the creamy body of this beer while heavenly aromas of roasted buttery peanuts and chocolate greet you with every sip.
Silver Medal – World Beer Championships 2014
ABV: 9.0%, IBU: 35
This collaboration with Perennial Artisan Ales pairs two favorites: chocolate and beer. Dessert is best poured. And the brewers at Perennial agree. So for our next Lips of Faith release we dreamt up a beer that would bring together chocolate sweetness, Belgian yeast, deeply roasted malts and just the right shake of salt to pour a creamy stout worthy of a cherry on top.

If you’re an Untappd user, don’t forget to check-in while enjoying these tasty beers so that you can earn your 2014 #StoutDay badge!

New & Returning Bottles for New Brew Thursday

This week we’re introducing a new cider along with a returning one, and a returning Tripel.

New Cider: Julian Black & Blue
ABV: 6.99%
Julian Hard Ciders has blended their 100% natural, fresh-pressed, hard apple cider with the juice of American-grown and sustainably farmed blackberries and blueberries for a new and unique hard cider beverage.

Returning Cider: Aspall Dry Cider
ABV: 6.8%
Produced and bottled in Suffolk, England, Aspall Dry is a refreshing cider without being overly sweet. This cider is crisp and clean with a refreshing full apple flavor and dry finish.

Returning Tripel: La Fin du Monde
ABV: 9.0%, IBU: 19
With a name that translates to “The end of the world”, this much beloved Triple-style Golden Ale is making its return to our bottle line-up. The aroma is a floral bouquet, with hints of honey, spice, coriander, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is mildly yeasty with a complex palate of malt, fruit and spice notes followed by a smooth, dry finish.
