Yesterday’s Mystery Beer was unique in that we originally tapped it on Saturday, Valentine’s Day, so that it would be part of our Valentine’s Day Flight Special. We felt it was a great addition with it’s floral aroma and golden ale taste complemented with Valencia Oranges and Orange Honey. Coming from one of our favorite Bay Area Breweries (even though they don’t have a brewery of their own), yesterday’s Mystery Beer is Valencia Gold from Almanac Beer Co.
From their website:
Golden Ale brewed with Valencia Oranges and Orange Blossom Honey, 8.5% ABV
Valencia Gold is an aromatic Belgian-style ale that celebrates the vibrant and pioneering history of San Francisco’s sunny Mission District. This imperial ale is brewed with fragrant orange blossom honey and fresh Valencia Oranges from California’s Central Valley and dry-hopped with tangerine-scented Mandarina Bavaria hops. Pour this pure California sunshine into your favorite tulip glass and enjoy with fresh Dungeness Crab or winter citrus salads. ¡Salud!
Since we put it on a few days earlier than normal you shouldn’t expect it to last much longer! Stop in for a glass today before it’s gone!
