Join us Wednesday, December 16th starting at 5:00 as we welcome to the pub and on tap a true space traveler; Ground Control from Ninkasi Brewing… brewed with space yeast! Accompanying this space beer will be representatives from Ninkasi with pint glasses and other swag for you and your earthbound friends!
This rich, 10% abv, Imperial Stout is brewed not only with Oregon hazelnuts, star anise and cocoa nibs, but it’s fermented with an Ale yeast that has made the journey into space, survived, and made a safe return to earth. Launched from Spaceport America in New Mexico on October 23, 2014, the yeast endured speeds of over 4,000 mph and reached an altitude of 77.3 miles before its safe return to the landing site in the White Sands Missile Range where the payload was collected then returned to the brewery and put to work in Ground Control.
Also joining Ground Control on the taps will be Ninkasi’s Dawn of The Red; their India Red Ale (IRA) that greets you with hoppy bitterness up front followed by tastes of mango, papaya, pineapple and stone fruit.
