Didn’t really lie yesterday. Made an honest mistake. Messed up a little bit. We said that the Mystery Beer was brewed locally, which to us means that it’s brewed within 42 miles of us. We were wrong. The brewery that made the Mystery Beer, Eagle Rock Brewing, is actually located 42.875 miles from us (as the crow flies). A simple mistake, which may seem minor, but didn’t mean to mislead you.
Regardless of exactly how far away the beer was brewed it seems that many of you enjoyed the Mystery, and some of you enough to have more than one! The beer itself is Revolution XPA from Eagle Rock Brewing. From their website:
Extra Pale Ale (XPA) is a variation on American pale ale–bright and refreshing with a substantial hop presence. Light-gold in color, Revolution XPA’s subtle malt backbone and medium body balance it’s hop bitterness. Dryhopping delivers big hop aromas with the essence of nectar fruit, citrus, and freshly cut grass. As these assertive flavors recede a hint of bready malt rounds out the finish.
Bitter never tasted so sweet!
Color: 7 SRM | ABV: 5.2% | Bitterness: 37 IBU
