Yesterday’s Mystery Beer

M. Special is a young brewery located just under an hour drive up Highway 101 in Goleta. Like many young microbreweries joining the ranks, they were started and run by a collection of close friends and family working together to help their talented brewmaster bring delicious beers to the masses.

We chose Pablo Special Pale Ale as the Mystery Beer for yesterday, June 14, 2006 from the M. Special collection. From their website:

Tropical / Clean / Sessionable
This is an M. Special Gateway Beer into the world of hops. Full of tropical hoppy aromas with a smooth non-bitter finish. Consisting of very subtle hints of caramel and toffee malts. Light bodied and refreshingly easy to drink.
5.5% ABV

Stop in for a pint of this smooth drinking example of an American Pale Ale soon. We don’t expect it to survive the weekend…that’s for sure!

Kegs to Kick

A couple of your favorite kegs currently on tap are on the verge of being emptied out. That’s good news for the few that are fortunate enough to grab the last pints, and it’s good news for the rest of us; it means making a tap or two available for our New Brew Thursday!

For helping us empty a keg and making a tap handle (or two) available for something new or different, both Hell or High Watermelon from 21st Amendment and Valkyrie from our friends at Enegren in Moorpark are 20% off all pours all day today!
