Yesterday’s Mystery Beer came all the way from Garage Project in New Zealand. When they first started in 2011 they were a nano-brewery with only a 50 liter brew kit. That’s the size of the keg we tapped from them yesterday! They’ve grown quite a bit since then and now are able to send some of their brews to us in the USA.

The name of this Mystery… Death From Above.
From their website:

STYLE: Fruit & Spice
STYLE: Pale Ale
ALCOHOL: 7.5%
BREWED WITH: Mango, Vietnamese Mint, Chili

This has been one of the most challenging Garage brews to date. At its heart was the idea of combining aggressive, high citrus character of American hops with the heat and sweetness of Indochine flavours.

Have you ever tried a Vietnamese mango and chili salad? If you haven’t, you might be missing out on a life changing experience.

A fusion of American-style pale ale and South-East Asian flavours of mango, lime, Vietnamese mint and chili. This a beer of harmony, not of conflict.
